The easiest answer is no, but this is a complicated question for the Dodge Challenger SXT. The qualifications for a good off-road vehicle typically come down to a powerful engine, AWD, additional features to improve handling and traction, and a minimum ground clearance of 8.5 inches or higher. The Challenger SXT falls more than three inches short to be considered a good off-road vehicle, but it does have some other qualifying factors.
The SXT comes standard with a 3.6-L V6 engine with 303-hp and 268 lb-ft of torque. This is a pretty solid engine, though most of its power likely goes towards propelling the Challenger’s notorious extra weight. However, the challenger is also advertised as the first and only car in its class with the option for AWD. This upgrade could see the muscle coupe tackling a wider variety of flat terrains—gravel, snow, wet road—but it likely won’t help with uneven terrain, considering the SXT’s other specs.
