Let's get started! To change the oil, follow these steps:

Start your engine and allow it to run for 5 to 10 minutes

Shut the engine off and pop the hood

Under the hood, locate and remove the oil fill cap

Slide underneath the engine bay, look up at the underside of the engine, find the oil drain bolt, and remove it. When you do this, the oil will begin draining immediately. Make sure that you have the drain pan in position underneath before you remove the bolt

While the oil is draining, use your filter wrench to remove the old oil filter

When the oil has finished training, install the replacement filter

Replace the oil drain bolt and make sure that it is securely tightened

Refill the engine oil reservoir with the fresh motor oil that you have purchased
