2020 Kia Telluride configurations

When shopping for a new car, you'll have to consider a few categories of options.
The first up is trim, and the 2020 Kia Telluride comes in four: the LX, S, EX, and SX. (We’ll go through some of the differences between trims in just a bit.)
Once you pick the perfect trim for you and your family, you’ll get to choose your vehicle’s drivetrain. Stick with the standard
front-wheel drive
format, or add on all-wheel drive to any trim for an extra $2,000.
Finally, you can choose to add on additional packages or options to further customize your vehicle. For example, the towing package costs an additional $795, while opting for limited edition Sangria paint costs $395. You can toss in extras like carpeted floor mats for $210.
Let’s take a closer look at each of the trim levels and drivetrain configurations.

Kia Telluride LX (FWD or AWD)

Starting price: $33,060
First up is the base-level trim, the
Telluride LX
. It’s powered by a naturally aspirated V-6 that makes 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Its engine pairs with an eight-speed
automatic transmission
that feeds the front wheels in the standard format—and, as we mentioned, all-wheel drive is optional across the board.
Outside, the LX impresses with 18-in rims with a painted finish and five
exterior color
options: Ebony Black, Everlasting Silver, Gravity Gray, Sangria, or Snow White Pearl.
Inside, the Telluride LX boasts a robust infotainment system that features an 8.0-inch touchscreen with popular content that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability along with numerous power points throughout the vehicle. All LX interiors are trimmed in black.
The
National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA)
awarded the Telluride a perfect score thanks to the following inclusions:
  • Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection
  • Standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist
  • Standard blind-spot monitoring

Kia Telluride S (FWD or AWD)

Starting price: $35,360
One step above the LX trim is the
Telluride S
, and by spending just a couple thousand dollars more you can get some amazing upgrades like the option for the second-row captain’s chairs and 18-in machine-finished wheels. If those interior and exterior colors weren’t enough, in the S you also have the choice of a Dark Moss for the exterior and a gray-colored interior.
Other added luxuries include a sunroof, silver-finished roof racks, a premium silver finish front grill plate, and heated and power-adjustable front seats.

Kia Telluride EX (FWD or AWD)

Starting price: $38,460
Next up is the
EX
, which—once again—only jumps in price by a few thousand dollars. The engine remains the same, and FWD is still standard with AWD as an available option, but the “wow factor” of the EX is undeniable.
On top of the features in the LX and S, the Kia Telluride trim level EX impresses with a 10.5-in touch screen complimented with a wireless phone charger, as well as with UVO link that’s equipped with advanced navigation features, Driver Talk (an amplification feature that projects the driver’s voice to the second- and third-row seats for ultimate command and communication), and Quiet Mode.
Inside, standard
leather seats
are also heated and ventilated. On its back, the Telluride EX has a smart power tailgate activated by the touch of a button. Walking around the side, the Telluride EX has larger beautiful 20-in machine-finished wheels and luxurious power folding mirrors.

Kia Telluride SX (FWD or AWD)

Starting price: $42,960
Finally, we have the most luxurious Telluride: the
SX
trim level. This SUV is fully loaded, dripping with both comfort and class. Plus, this is the only trim available with a brown interior option and Nappa leather seats.
Exclusive to this trim are double sunroofs, which are complemented by second-row window shades to balance out the lighting. You can also set the interior atmosphere with 64-color mood lighting and Harman/Kardon® 10-speaker surround sound audio with Clari-Fi™, an external amplifier, and a subwoofer.
The driver enjoys a host of extras, including power-adjustable seats and Driver’s Seat Integrated Memory System (IMS), Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM), Highway Driving Assist (HDA), Park Distance Warning – Forward (PDW-F), and Surround View Monitor (SVM).
As for the outside look, you’ll notice a wheel upgrade to a black sport finish and roof racks with a shiny chrome finish.
