Tiger Woods, like many superstar athletes, is known for his accomplishments
in his sport
as well as his personal wealth. With his earnings from 82 PGA Tour wins, he has amassed quite the car collection—and a few car-related incidents.
Though he’s had his fair share of trouble behind the wheel, the majority of Tiger Woods’ cars, happily, do not have these unfortunate associations. Read on to catch a glimpse of the
luxury
and practical contents of Tiger’s garage.

Tiger Woods’ cars: The flashy stuff

The two flashiest in the group are standouts: a Lamborghini Murcielago and a Porsche Carrera GT reside in his garage, according to
Essentially Sports
. The Murcielago’s V12 engine goes 0-60 in 3.8 seconds using about 632 hp, and costs at base around $280,000, with some reaching the high $700,000s. Other famous owners of this more rare Lamborghini include 50 Cent and Metta Sandiford-Artest (former Los Angeles Laker Ron Artest).
A Murcielago is not exactly a Toyota Camry, and yet the Porsche Carrera GT is almost equally exclusive. This Porsche cost around $450,000 when it was released in the early 2000s, and only 1,270 of them were built. It rockets from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds on a 5.7L V10. If Mr. Woods needed to go 205 mph to get to the Masters on time, he could.

The practical stuff

For better or worse, most of Tiger’s car issues have occurred in his SUVs. Perhaps it’s for the best, as these bigger cars are safer and better at withstanding trauma.
He famously crashed an Escalade in 2009, and the 2021 Rancho Palos Verdes crash occurred in a Genesis SUV. He also owns a Buick Enclave, a less fancy SUV but a nod to his sponsorship deal with the company. (Another Buick, the 2001 Bengal, was reportedly designed for him but never actually left the factory floor.)
The practicality of an SUV is nice, but for easier parking Mr. Woods can turn to his 2009 Lexus LS 460 Sedan, which is a thoroughly pragmatic, high-quality driving option. And a step up from pragmatic is (was?) his 2015 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG, the setting for a DUI arrest in Florida in 2017. The $200,000 car did not escape unscathed, but thankfully its driver did.

Rating: Relatively reasonable

Compared to other famous athletes, Tiger Woods’s car collection is pretty low-key. As far as we know he didn’t even replace any of his car’s accessories with tiny replicas of himself golfing, à la Odell Beckham Jr., nor is he being like Mike and starting a professional racing team. We can enjoy the fabulousness of the Murcielago and the Porsche, and be thankful that the golf legend decided to get out on the green once more.
After lengthy rehab from his 2021 crash, he finally emerged in December to play in the PNC championship with his son Charlie. The pair took home a second place trophy, and though there are a lot of things to look at in Tiger’s garage, we’re guessing that this addition is his favorite.
