The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning give you bang for your buck

The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is the sibling of the best-selling F-150 truck, a top spot it’s earned for the past 44 years, according to
MotorTrend
.
The new electric version is positioned to be a big winner too. The F-150 Lightning is, first and foremost, very affordable. It will be starting at just over $41,000, with a $100 deposit required to reserve one now. Compare this to the Rivian R1T, a truck with a similar look and feel, which starts at $67,500.
The all-wheel-drive Lightning gets you a very speedy experience. Ford claims that it should be able to go from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds. This is an improvement of just over a second from other F-150s in the lineup. President Joe Biden even remarked on the speed when he tested one, noting that “this sucker’s quick.” Not a bad review from the head of state.

F-150 Lightning specs and range

The Lightning can be charged via mobile charger, which comes standard on all trucks, or with an at-home charger. You can expect a range of about 230 miles on a standard battery and about 300 on an extended battery. The truck seats five passengers and tows 10,000 pounds.
This truck is also a mobile battery. MotorTrend reports that you can get 9.6 kilowatts of power total from the Lightning, and with 21 electrical outlets scattered throughout the truck, you can charge a ton of iPhones.
More impressively, you can opt to include the home integration system in your truck, which will use Ford Intelligent Backup Power to keep your home fully powered for three days in case of an emergency. And this is only the tip of the iceberg for cool functionality. In the coming years, Ford expects to be able to transfer power between car and home depending on a variety of cost and usage factors.

The F-150 Lightning’s cabin is comfortable and spacious. It sports Ford's Sync 4A infotainment system and has most of the beloved features of the original F-150.
The driving itself can be done in four different modes: Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and Tow/Haul. The F-150 Lightning goes a step further with Onboard Scales, a feature that automatically integrates information about total weight and distance to make sure that your range is always accurate. It looks like the Ford F-150 Lightning is ready to take the EV pickup market by storm.
