IIHSTop Safety Pick+ award winner, vehicles must earn good ratings in all six IIHS crashworthiness evaluations. This includes driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraint tests.
Vehicles earning this award must also have a front crash prevention system that rates as "Advanced" or "Superior" in both the vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations, as well as "Good" or "Acceptable" headlights that must be standard on all the vehicle’s models.

The SUV features the Co-Pilot360 system and the optional Co-Pilot360 Assist+, which help avoid collisions with pedestrians and other vehicles. Co-Pilot360 Assist+, if added, has adaptive cruise and a few additional features.
All versions of the Ford Bronco Sport also used the same headlight design, which earned a "Good" rating.
This award applies to every version of the Bronco Sport, which is rare and does not happen for many vehicles.
