The 2016 Nissan Rogue has the best fuel economy ratings in the compact crossover SUV class for 2016, making 28 to 27 combined mpg depending on whether the model is paired with a front- or all-wheel drivetrain.
The 2016 Nissan Rogue is not only one of the most fuel-efficient compact crossover SUVs for the 2016 model year, but it is also surprisingly well equipped for its price—which, according to Kelley Blue Book, ranges from $12,918 to $15,269 for a used model. Powered at each trim level by the same 170-horsepower four-cylinder engine and continuously variable transmission (CVT), 2016 Rogue drivers can expect similar fuel efficiency ratings, no matter which trim level package their used Rogue is paired with.

Both of these figures, however, are significantly more affordable than the average midsize SUV for 2016, which Edmunds estimates to feature annual fuel costs of $2,736
