The most common 2013 Acura ILX problems

A total of 48 complaints have been lodged against the 2013 Acura ILX with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The vast majority of those complaints—22 to be exact—are in reference to issues affecting the model’s airbag system, while an additional six complaints were attributed to both the ILX’s electrical system and powertrain

That being said, Consumer Reports did knock the model for its reportedly cheap materials and noisy cabin—especially considering its $26,000 MSRP for the base model. Owners complained that, in addition to the ILX’s rough ride, poor value, and noisiness, they were experiencing persistent mechanical issues with the model, including suspension problems, electrical issues, and transmission failures. 
While these problems might be expected in an older model, they have been prevalent since the beginning of the 2013 Acura ILX’s lifetime.
