The Hellcat Minivan Is Not Your Typical Minivan

The Hellcat Minivan is not actually a car in itself and is actually a Chrysler Pacifica with a Hellcat engine replacement.

There aren't that many
minivans
on the market nowadays, but one of the best minivans available right now is the Chrysler Pacifica. The Pacifica is a capable and practical minivan for any family that needs a minivan, but it may not be enough for some people.
Here's a look at the Hellcat Minivan, which is a Chrysler Pacifica with an extremely powerful engine that could be the minivan of your dreams.

How powerful is the Hellcat Minivan?

As its name implies, the hypothetical Hellcat Minivan would be powered by the Hellcat engine. According to
Carbuzz
, a Hellcat engine fitted into a Chrysler Pacifica would mean a massive upgrade in power.
The Pacifica currently has the choice of two engines, the standard 3.6-liter V-6, or a PHEV option. The V-6 gets 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, while the PHEV option gets 260 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque.
The Hellcat engine comes straight from the engine bay of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. It's a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 that gets 717 horsepower and 656 lb-ft of torque.
If this hypothetical Hellcat Minivan became a reality, then it would probably be much faster than the current Pacifica. Due to the Pacifica's extra size, however, it likely won't be as fast as the Challenger when it's equipped with the Hellcat engine. And obviously, its fuel economy will go down the drain, too.

The Hellcat Minivan still has the Chrysler Pacifica's great features

The best part about this Hellcat Minivan idea is the fact that the Pacifica would still keep many of its great features. One of the reasons why minivans are making a comeback is because of how practical they are for families.
The Pacifica is no different as it can seat at least seven people, and they have a lot of headroom and legroom, too. Families who are going grocery shopping can also fold down some seats and get an incredible amount of cargo capacity.
If the Pacifica was equipped with a Hellcat engine, however, then it would be able to do all of those things while also being one of the fastest cars on the road. A parent would have a hard time being late for soccer practice if the Hellcat Minivan was a real car, but unfortunately, it's not.

It's impossible to buy the Hellcat Minivan, but you can build one

Stellantis is the automaker that sells Hellcat-powered cars, and Stellantis have put the Hellcat engine on a few cars before. Currently, Stellantis has no plans on offering the Hellcat engine on the Pacifica, so the Hellcat Minivan is just a dream minivan for now.
All hope is not lost, however. Stellantis does actually sell the Hellcat engine by itself, and it's currently priced at around $20,000. This means that anyone who knows what they're doing could buy a Hellcat engine and put it inside a minivan.
The Pacifica currently starts at about $39,000, so if you want to make the Hellcat Minivan a reality, then you'll probably have to spend at least $60,000 in total.

Every minivan needs to be insured

It might be difficult to get your hands on a Hellcat-powered minivan, but it's pretty easy to get your minivan insured.
