The Mustang and Challenger: cost and trim levels

The 2022 Ford Mustang ranges from about $27,205 to $72,900 not including destination fees. The Mustang comes in seven different trims: EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, Mach 1, Mach 1 Premium, GT, GT Premium, and the Shelby GT500.
The Dodge Challenger goes between $29,295 to $80,595, again, not including destination fees. The trims available on the Challenger include: SXT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, GT, SRT Hellcat and Hellcat Redeye, and SRT Super Shock.

What are the specs of the 2022 Ford Mustang vs 2022 Dodge Challenger?

  both the 2022 Ford Mustang and 2022 Dodge Challenger have rear-wheel drive, go fast, and have that classic muscle car sound. 
The Mustangs with a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine come at 310 hp and 350 pound per feet of torque. On the Ford Mustang GT coupe and convertible and the Mach 1 you can get a 5.0-liter V8 engine with the GT getting 460 hp and the Mach 1 getting 480 hp.
The basic engine for the Challenger is a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 303 hp.  With a V8 engine, you can get anywhere from 485 hp to 807 hp depending on the trim level you choose, with the highest level, the SuperShock getting that thrilling 807 hp.

2022 Ford Mustang vs 2022 Dodge Challenger features

While Ford doesn’t offer free scheduled maintenance for the Mustang, you can earn points in the app and redeem them for discounts on select services.
Coming standard on all Mustangs is a free Wifi Hotspot for three months, after that time period it becomes a paid subscription.
On all the other Mustangs but the base EcoBoost and GT, is an 8-inch touchscreen that uses Ford Sync 3’s infotainment platform. 
For the base EcoBoost and GT models you get the basics of Bluetooth compatibility, while on the other trims you get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you want any of these features on the EcoBoost or GT trims you’ll have to pay extra.
On the lower trim levels of the 2022 Dodge Challenger you get a 7-inch touchscreen with the UConnect 4 infotainment platform, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Higher trims come with an 8.4-inch infotainment system but it is optional on lower trims for extra.
Unlike Ford’s Mustang, the Dodge infotainment system is known for getting good ratings on its user-friendliness.
