A fire destroyed several of Tim Schmidt’s collector cars

Tim Schmidt made headlines as a car collector in 2019 when some of his vehicles at his home in Rio Vista, Florida were lost to a fire. The
Sun Sentinel
noted that some of the vehicles in the fire included a Bentley, a Tesla, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and several jet skis and golf carts.
Despite losing so many vehicles in the fire, Tim Schmidt, ever the Happy Hippie car collector, simply expressed his shock on social media and stated that he and his wife were okay.
That doesn’t mean the fire was a small one, though. According to the newspaper, it took around 50 firefighters to get the blaze under control. The cause of the fire wasn’t listed in the report, but there are plenty of common hazards or accidental events that can cause house fires.

What kind of vehicles does Tim Schmidt have as a car collector?

Because of how Tim Schmidt splits his time up between his two residences, he didn’t lose all of his vehicles in the 2019 fire. Thankfully, Schmidt keeps his Bugatti Chiron and McLaren P1 at his 200-acre Canadian ranch, where he frequently shares his growing collection with fans on his Instagram account: @hapyhipi.
Tim’s other vehicles, a total of 35, include Teslas, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris—and he seems to be most interested in newer luxury cars and supercars as opposed to classic vehicles.
