Will my tire go flat without the valve cap?

I was filling my car up today and noticed my tires looked low on air so I decided to fill them up as well while I was at the gas station. I got to my third tire when the valve cap rolled away on me and I never ended up finding it! Can you tell me if my tire will go flat if the valve cap is missing?

We’re sorry to hear that you’re missing your valve cap! Thankfully, your tire won’t go flat immediately after losing the valve cap, but you’ll want to replace the cap as soon as you can.
Your tire’s valve cap keeps dirt and debris out of your tire’s air valve and acts as a second seal in case your valve leaks. While you’re fine to drive on a tire without a valve cap, replacing it keeps your tire in tip-top shape.
Valve caps are inexpensive to replace and can be found at chain auto parts shops or even on Amazon.
While replacing your tire valve caps is a great way to stay safe, you’ll want to ensure you’re protected on the road with the right
