How do you get the key out of the ignition in your Honda?
I just parked my car and tried to pull out my key, but it’s stuck! I’ve been trying to get it out for minutes without any luck. What steps do I need to take to get the key out of the ignition in my Honda?

Stuck keys can be frustrating—but try not to worry. They’re usually easy to fix!
- Improper parking. Sometimes, drivers try to set their gear to Park but miss the mark. If the car isn’t completely settled in park, you won’t be able to pull out the key. Luckily, you can solve the problem by moving your gear to a different setting before properly returning it to Park.
- Locked steering wheel. When drivers try to turn off the car while moving the steering wheel, it sometimes locks in place and traps the key. To solve the problem, turn your key in the ignition while moving your steering wheel as much as possible. It might take a few tries, but you should be able to free your key.
