Can I get a car loan with a temporary job?

I've never been the kind of person who likes a traditional job setting. Right now I'm a temporary employee, but I really need a car to get to and from work. Is it possible for me to take out a car loan without a full-time job?

“In short, yes, it is possible to get a car loan with a temporary job. However, it might be more complicated for you than it would be for someone with a full-time position.
Lenders want to make sure that you’ll be able to make consistent payments on your loan. For that reason, a lot of finance companies will require proof you’ve been with your current employer for at least three months.
If you can prove that you have a steady income source outside of a traditional job setting (for example, if you’re self-employed), most lenders will work with you. Providing copies of your previous tax returns is one way to accomplish this.
But even if you can’t provide proof of income or if
your income is very low
, being a temporary employee doesn’t necessarily disqualify you from finding a car loan; you’ll just have to work a little harder to find a lender that’s able to work with you.
If you’re looking to buy a car, you’ll need to factor in the cost of insurance, too. Check out the
