Great question! Unfortunately, the AC evaporator is one of the pricier components of your car and a full AC evaporator replacement will cost somewhere between $900 and $1200, depending on the make and model of your vehicle.
On average, the parts cost for a new AC evaporator will be around $600 to $750 and labor costs range from $300 to $450, but this will vary depending on the mechanic you go to.
As an integral component of your vehicle’s air conditioning system, the AC evaporator does its job by harnessing the cold from liquid refrigerant and using it to cool warm air as it passes along the evaporator coils.
