How much car insurance do you need for a Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium?

There are two options for Mustang Mach-E car insurance:
Minimum coverage is the cheapest option for your Mustang Mach-E Premium, but it often doesn’t provide enough coverage in the event of an accident. Plus, liability coverage only covers third-party property damage and injury—it doesn’t cover your costs.
Upgrading to a full coverage policy will ensure the cost of repair or replacement of your Mustang Mach-E Premium is covered in the event of an accident. However, increasing your liability limits to at least 50/100/50 or 100/300/100 will provide further coverage and financial protection.

How do Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium insurance quotes compare to other Ford Mustang car insurance rates?

Some trim levels of the Ford Mustang will be more expensive to insure due to larger engine sizes (including hybrid and electric), higher MSRPs, and more features.
The more tech and luxury features your Mustang has, the higher the repair or replacement costs are in the event of a collision. As a result, insurers increase premiums to offset these costs.
When it comes to insuring a Mustang Mach-E Premium, there’s a lot of variation in pricing due to different batty packs and electric motors. Drivers can choose from a standard-size battery pack (72 kWh capacity) or an optional Extended Range battery (91 kWh), along with a single electric motor powering the rear wheels or dual electric motors offering all-wheel drive.
Similarly, larger and more powerful engines in a Mustang mean better vehicle performance, which increases the risk of being involved in an accident and, subsequently, car insurance rates.
The power of the Mach-E varies based on which motor and battery pack you choose, ranging from 266 horsepower on the single motor and standard battery pack to 480 horsepower on the dual motor and Extended Range battery on the GT trim.
Different-sized batteries and multiple motors increase the MSRP of your Mustang because electric batteries are costly to replace in the event of a collision. They also required more specialized services to repair. As a result, you could face higher insurance premiums with more powerful trims.
Insurance costs for the Mustang Mach-E Premium vary based on the motor and battery size of your EV. While the standard Premium trim level has fewer features and a lower MSRP than the California Route 1 and GT trims, upgrading to additional options and features on lower trim levels could mean paying more for car insurance than you would for the higher trims.
