Can I add my non-married partner to my USAA car insurance?

Can I add my partner to my USAA policy if we’re not married? I want to add my girlfriend to my car insurance policy as we only have one car after hers died.

USAA
will provide benefits coverage to eligible members’ same-sex and unmarried heterosexual domestic partners. In short, as long as you live together, and you qualify for coverage under USAA’s terms, you should be able to add your girlfriend to your policy.
USAA also allows members to add your domestic partner’s children or step-children to your
car insurance
policy.
Keep in mind: If your partner has earned a dishonorable discharge from a branch of the military, they may not qualify to be added under your benefits. Before you start the process of adding your girlfriend to your policy, be sure to double check with your agent to see if there are any restrictions that apply in her situation.
