. What’s included on your AAA insurance card
Your AAA ID card functions as proof of financial responsibility, showing that you’ve purchased at least the minimum amount of insurance coverage legally required by your state. It won’t indicate any specifics of your policy, but it will show:
Your insurance provider’s name and address (i.e., AAA)
The provider’s NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners) number
The make, model, and vehicle identification number (VIN) of your car
The effective date and expiration date of your policy
More detailed information about your policy, like coverage limits or deductibles, can be found on your declarations page
. It’s important to note that although your declaration page has plenty of information about your insurance policy, it cannot be used as proof of insurance. Can you show proof of insurance on your phone?
