How do I stop my *accelerator and brake pedals depressed simultaneously* light from coming on?

On my drive home, a warning sign came up on my 2020 Toyota Tacoma. It says the accelerator and brake pedals depressed simultaneously. When it happens, my car loses power and drives very slowly. I am definitely not pressing both pedals at the same time. How do I stop this from happening?

If you need an accelerator and brake pedals pressed simultaneously solution, look no further than your Toyota’s electrical system.
The depressed simultaneously warning is a safety feature. A signal is sent to your
Toyota’s
computer, cutting power to the throttle if your car thinks you may be pressing both pedals in a panic.
This safety feature has been known to malfunction, especially if you have recently done any electrical work or modifications to your car. (This can include things like adding fog lights, hooking up a trailer, etc.)
Unless you are an expert at electrical systems, it is best to have a
mechanic
inspect your car to see what is causing your computer to malfunction. This may cost you around $100, but it will give you a better idea of what is going on.
