While it seems strange, this is a common request from landlords. Luckily, you can add an interested party to your State Farm renters insurance relatively easily by calling your agent.

From there, a State Farm agent can add your landlord as an interested party. As an interested party, State Farm will notify your landlord, or any interested party, if you decide to cancel your policy or make changes.
