If your car engine is still hot after two hours, there are a couple of possible causes. It could be overheating due to low coolant levels, a broken fan belt, a clogged radiator, a stuck thermostat, or electric cooling fan failure.
To put it in simple terms, all of these parts play a small part in keeping your engine cool. So, if one of those parts malfunctions, you’ll have a hot engine on your hands.
Most commonly, the problem is low coolant levels, which you can easily fix yourself. Just open the hood and check your coolant reservoir. If it’s below the fill line, you can top it off with some more coolant.
