How to reset the maintenance oil change light will depend on what year your Nissan Altima is, but generally, you should be able to access it via the maintenance options found in the settings menu on your dashboard.
Here’s how to turn off the oil change light on a 2015 Nissan Altima:
- Open the settings menu on your dashboard
- Scroll down to select the Maintenance menu option
- Select Service
- Select Reset
- Go back to the Maintenance menu and select Other (the second option below Service)
- Select Reset
Here’s how to turn off the oil change light on a 2019 Nissan Altima:
- Open the settings menu on your dashboard
- Select Maintenance
- Select Oil Control System
- Press the OK button on your steering wheel to reset, then select Yes to confirm
Once your maintenance mile tracker is reset, your oil change light should turn off.
