How do I turn off adaptive cruise control?

My parents gave me a new Honda Civic. I’m excited and grateful, but I’m not big on adaptive cruise control. How can I turn it off?

Congrats on the new car and happy belated birthday! To turn off adaptive cruise control on your Honda Civic, usually you’ll find it near the steering wheel where the cruise control button is. What you’ll want to do is push that cruise control button while either in standby mode or you can turn off the engine, which will automatically deactivate the cruise control.
Keep in mind that every car is different and you’ll want to refer to your car’s owner manual. As long as you turn off your car’s engine or press the cruise control button, though, you should be set to go.
As you continue to explore the different features of your new Honda Civic, make sure it’s covered with the right car insurance policy. With over 50+ top insurance companies to choose from,
