How do I reset my Toyota blind spot monitor?
I have a 2019 Toyota Corolla, and I’m currently having some issues with its blind-spot monitor. Before I take it to the mechanic, I wanted to reset it, but I didn’t know how to do so. How can I reset my blind spot monitor?

We’re sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your Corolla’s blind-spot monitor! There’s nothing more frustrating than when those added amenities that are supposed to make your life easier stop working.
To reset a Toyota blind-spot monitor, you’ll want to do the following:
- Locate the blind spot monitoring sensor. Usually, this is found on the inside left and right-hand side of the rear bumper.
- Check to see if it’s covered in mud, dirt, or debris. These parts are prone to getting dirt and other grime-like substances on them. Make sure to clean it properly.
- Turn off your vehicle’s engine and wait a few seconds. After waiting a few seconds, try turning your car on and giving it a second to re-calibrate.
Once you do all these steps, the system will reboot and reset, and the issues should go away. If the issue is still present, you may want to take your car to your local Toyota dealership or mechanic to assess the issue further.
