How do I reset a Toyota radio?

The radio in my Toyota Corolla LE has been acting funky since my battery died. I think I need to reset it. What’s the easiest way to unlock the radio in my Toyota?

Sorry to hear that—it must be boring to drive without tunes! As part of the anti-theft system,
Toyota Corolla
radios often ask for a code after the car battery has been changed.
You can get your code from the dealer and reset your Toyota radio yourself like this:
  1. Switch the vehicle on to turn on the radio.
  2. Press the power button on the radio.
  3. Press and hold the 1 button, as well as the up arrow on the left side of the radio, at the same time. You will see four dashes appear on the display.
  4. Input the stereo code using the corresponding preset buttons 1-6. You will get three chances to put in your code properly, or the system will be locked. At that point, you’ll need to visit the dealer for help.
Hopefully, you can input your security code with ease and get back to cranking your music! To make your day even better, try downloading the
