How do I cancel my State Farm renters insurance?
I’m shopping around for new renters insurance since State Farm raised my premium. How can I cancel my State Farm renters insurance?

When you’re ready to cancel your renters insurance policy with
State Farm
, you can choose one of three options:- Option 1: Call 800-782-8332 to speak with an agent
- Option 2: Mail a letter to corporate headquarters at least two weeks before the date you want to end the policy
- Option 3: Speak with an agent in person
Keep in mind: If you cancel before getting signed up for a new policy, you will have a lapse in coverage and it can raise your premiums. You also could violate your lease by canceling prematurely, so make sure you have your new policy set up before you cancel your old one.
