How does DriveShield track my driving and calculate my driving score?

Using motion and location sensors in your phone, DriveShield™ will monitor driving habits such as acceleration, speed, and braking, and give you a 0-100 rating based on how safe you are relative to other drivers on the road.

How can I enroll in DriveShield? Can I opt out at any time?

You can only enroll in the app as phone sensors are needed for Driveshield. Yes, you can opt out at any time.

Are there any costs for using DriveShield?

There is no cost for using DriveShield.

How do I earn and redeem rewards with DriveShield?

With DriveShield™, you automatically earn points whenever you take a safe trip. The safer you drive, the higher your score and the more points you earn. You can redeem points for exclusive rewards from more than 50 of our partners, including Home Chef, Goodyear, and AMC Theaters.

How does DriveShield work if I am a passenger in a car or taking public transport?

DriveShield™ can detect whether you are driving or a passenger in a vehicle. You should only receive a score for trips taken as a driver, but if you receive a score for a trip in which you were a passenger you can mark it as such in the app. This will help detect passenger trips more accurately in the future.
