The coverage begins when the vehicle is delivered (if you’re a new owner) and lasts for four years or 50,000 miles—whichever comes first.

How to get roadside assistance
You can request help from the roadside assistance team through the Tesla mobile app. It’s available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

Open the Tesla app and select ‘Roadside’
Select the issue your vehicle is experiencing
Include additional details related to your request—like the location and vehicle condition
Select ‘Request Help’
Accidents and collisions may incur extra fees through Tesla Roadside Assistance—and depending on your warranty coverage, they may not be covered at all.
If you find yourself in an accident, call 911 first. Take a detailed account of the damage so that your insurance company can better evaluate your claim. Pictures are the ideal way to document damage.
Roadside assistance lasts as long as your warranty
Once your initial warranty period ends, you’ll no longer be eligible for free roadside assistance from Tesla. You can still use the service, but you will be responsible for repair or transportation services.
