How to get your Liberty Mutual auto insurance ID card
If you lost your insurance ID card or wanted to keep a backup of the digital copy, Liberty Mutual makes it easy. You can download your insurance ID card by logging in to the Liberty Mutual website. You can also quickly access your digital insurance cards using the Liberty Mutual app.
Online: Log in to your Liberty Mutual account and navigate to the “Documents” tab in the top menu. You can then download and print the insurance ID for your vehicle(s).
App: Download the app and log in to your account. You can then view your ID cards from the home page.
Mail: If you prefer the traditional insurance ID card but can’t print a copy, you can request for it to be mailed to you—just call an agent at 1-800-290-8711.
Once you get an insurance policy from Liberty Mutual, you should receive a link in an email to access your insurance ID card. Be sure to download and print it out as soon as you can to place it in your car as proof of insurance

What’s included on your Liberty Mutual insurance card
Having your Liberty Mutual ID card indicates that you carry the minimum required insurance coverage in your state and serves as your proof of financial responsibility. Your insurance ID card will not show the coverage, limits, or deductibles you have, but it will show the essential information below:
The name and address of your insurance company (i.e. Liberty Mutual)
The NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners) number of the company
Your first and last name (under “named insured”)
Your car’s details (i.e. make, model, and vehicle identification number (VIN))
The effective date and expiration date of your policy
To view the details on your insurance policy, including the exact coverage amount and deductibles, you can access your declarations page
on the Liberty Mutual website or in the app. Can you show proof of insurance on your phone?
In situations that require you to show your insurance ID, such as traffic stops or after an accident, you can show proof of insurance on your phone in most states. Simply pull up the electronic ID card from the app or PDF file to show the law enforcement officer.
If you get pulled over, you can simply show your insurance ID from the Liberty Mutual app, along with your driver’s license and registration. However, if you are in New Mexico
