Be sure to gather all the information you’ll need to add the new car to your policy:
- The year, make, and model of the car
- The license plate number
- The state where the car is registered
- The VIN
After you’ve collected the appropriate documents, find your local AAA club based on your ZIP code and sign in with your 16-digit membership number and password.
Once logged in, look for the section titled ‘Add, replace, or remove vehicles’ to add your vehicle to your insurance policy.
If you plan to keep your current vehicle insured as well, you may need to look into a multi-car policy, which typically comes with discounts.
You can’t do these processes on the AAA Auto Club App. AAA’s app allows you to pay your insurance bills, get quotes and for proof of insurance, but for actions like changing auto policy coverages and modifying vehicles on your policy, you have to use AAA.com to do so.
