Situated atop limestone cliffs overlooking the White River and Tablerock Lake, Castle Rogue’s Manor boasts unparalleled views and sprawls 15,000 square feet making it the perfect venue for weddings, receptions, and charity events. Built in: 1935
Little Rock architect Ed Brueggeman designed the Castle on Stagecoach for Dr. Clarence W. Koch and his wife, Marie. However, Clarences’ residence was short-lived and so was their marriage.
The castle was sold in 1941 after their divorce and was occupied by a number of families until 1963 when it was purchased by John and Eugenie Rognrud.
Nearly 60 years later the Rognruds still live in the Castle on Stagecoach but its intimate indoor space and expansive grounds also serve as a wedding and event venue.

Elise Quigley and her five children demolished the family’s three-bedroom house her husband built to make room for her dream home–a natural oasis indoors!
Using family labor and lumber from their land, Quigley’s Castle took three years and just $2,000 to build. Quigley left 4 feet of soil between the living space and the walls where she planted flowering tropical plants that grow from the first floor up the walls to the high ceiling of the second floor. Momentos collected by Quigley adorn the outside and inside of the home.
Located on the Quigley Farm just four miles south of Eureka Springs, Quigley’s Castle is Elise Quigley's dream home come to life and was added into the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
With its lush indoor garden, butterfly wall, 28 windows, and eccentric design, the Quigley home unintentionally became a quirky destination for those passing through the Ozarks.

What is the story of the Ozark Medieval Fortress?
The Ozark Medieval Fortress is a project led by Michel Guyot who wanted to build an authentic medieval castle in the United States. The design was an exact replica of a 13th-century French castle that would be constructed using only the materials and techniques available in the 13th-century.
Ground broke in 2009 and visitors were welcomed for a short period of time to witness the construction. But as financing dwindled the project slowed to a halt just a few years after it began and the castle remains unfinished to this day.
