Some kid threw a rock at the window of the apartment I'm renting and broke it. Will renters insurance cover the cost of fixing the window?

Unless the child who threw the rock belongs to you, your renters insurance will not cover the cost to repair the window. The parent of the child who threw the rock is responsible for the damage; they could claim it under their homeowners or renters policy using their liability coverage.

Why am I only being offered a $10 payout for damage due to a pipe leak?
"A pipe connected to a hose in my backyard was broken and leaking water. When I called a repairman, he made a hole in my house to access the pipe. There was also some water damage to my ceiling. When someone from the insurance company came over to check out all the damage, they only offered to pay me $10. Why am I being offered so little? "

Is coverage for jewelry a form of additional protection when it comes to home insurance?
I've heard different things about insuring jewelry. Some say it's included in regular home insurance and others say it's not. Is insurance for jewelry an extra or standard form of protection?
