Will My Electric Car Battery Degrade Over Time?
I’ve had my electric car for a couple of years now and I was wondering if my car battery will degrade over time or do if it will completely stop working one day in the future.

degrade over time
.With time and use, rechargeable batteries lose their charge faster. If you’ve ever owned a laptop or any other rechargeable device, you can attest to this. Electric vehicles (EVs) are no different.
This said, don’t worry! Electric car batteries are estimated to have between 10-20 years of life before they need replacing.
Here are some quick tips to help conserve battery life while your electric car is at its optimum:
Don’t charge your electric car every night. While it may sound odd, charging your car every night actually trains your battery to hold less charge—shortening its lifespan.
Avoid quick charging. While fast charging is convenient, it can put a strain on your battery.
** Minimize charging states extremes**. Keep your car within the optimal charge range of 20%-80%. Contrary to popular belief, keeping electronics at a full charge isn’t great for battery life.
