Will home insurance pay out after a carport collapse?

My dad's carport collapsed from the weight of too much snow. Beneath it, he had a lawn mower and antique car. Will his home insurance pay to repair the carport and replace the lawn mower and car?

“His home insurance should cover the repair of the carport, and his personal property coverage on the policy should cover his lawnmower. But he needs to check to see if his policy has any exclusions for the weight of snow, sleet, or ice.
The antique car is a different story altogether. Hopefully your dad has an antique car policy that would help him in this instance, because the car would not be covered by a standard home policy. “
