Will home insurance cover repairs after I fell through my roof and ceiling?
"I was on the roof of my house, stepping off a rafter, when I fell through the ceiling. Luckily I wasn't hurt, but that hole in the ceiling and roof needs to be fixed ASAP. Will home insurance cover the repairs?
In most cases, this would not be covered by a typical homeowners insurance policy unless you could prove that you fell due to reasons beyond your control. If the homeowners insurance company has any proof that you fell due to your own error, or due to the deterioration of your roof, the repairs most likely would not be covered.
