Will getting a car insurance quote affect my current rate?
I want to get a quote to see if I can get a better rate, but I'm worried my current insurance company will be contacted and that this might affect my premium.
“There’s no need for you to worry—getting car insurance quotes online, over the phone, or in person will have no impact on the rate you’re paying for your current coverage.
The only time your insurance company would be contacted is if you make a call to cancel your policy with them because you’ve committed to a new plan elsewhere. So shop away and get as many quotes as you’d like!”
