Will comprehensive insurance cover me if water gets into the vehicle in any way?

I want to buy comprehensive insurance for my vehicle, but I want to make sure all types of water damage are covered. Does comprehensive cover water damage of all kinds?

“In most cases,
comprehensive coverage
will cover water damage to your vehicle, provided that you weren’t negligent. Examples include water damage that’s the result of:
  • Flooding
  • Vandalism
  • The wearing out of the seal around your windows and trunk
However, you probably won’t be covered if you willingly drive through several feet of water or if you leave the windows down during a storm. Contact your insurance provider to find out exactly what’s covered.”
