You can purchase gas mileage chips from Amazon or AutoZone, but keep in mind that the quality of the chip matters, so do your research before buying. Performance chips override the manufacturer settings, which can be dangerous if faulty.
There are other ways to save money on gas without having to make vehicle modifications, including:
- Changing dirty air filters
- Keeping up with regular oil changes
- Avoiding additional cargo
- Carpooling
Keep in mind: Tuning is illegal in some states, so check your state’s laws before making any modifications.
