I have a small chip in my windshield and an upcoming inspection. Will a car pass inspection with a cracked windshield?

It is possible for a car to pass inspection with a cracked windshield, so long as the crack is small and it does not impede the driver’s view.
If you have a small chip that does not obstruct your view of the road, then you will probably pass inspection. Patch it well and hopefully it won’t spread!
Be aware that every state has its own laws about inspections, so it’s worth doing some research before you get the inspection. An auto glass specialist could help you repair the chip and pass inspection without replacing the entire windshield.
