Why Won’t My Ford Focus Start and There’s No Clicking?

Yesterday, as I tried leaving for my morning commute, I tried to start my 2014 Ford Focus. My Focus wouldn’t start and there was no clicking noise after multiple tries. Do you know why my Ford Focus won’t start and there’s no clicking?

If your 2014
Ford Focus
won’t start and there’s no clicking when you try to start it, you’re most likely dealing with a:
  • Dead battery
  • Dead key fob battery
  • Faulty alternator
The best way to figure out whether you’re dealing with a dead battery is to use a multimeter on your car battery to measure your battery’s voltage. If your multimeter reads 12.2 to 12.6 volts, your battery is in good condition.
Replace your key fob battery and try to restart your car if your battery is healthy. If your car still won’t start, you may be dealing with an alternator problem. At this point, you should bring your car to your local auto shop to have it assessed.
