Why won’t my 2012 Ford Focus start if there’s no clicking noise?

I’ve had a few other cars not start on me over the years but there is always at least a clicking noise I hear when trying to turn the ignition on. My 2012 Focus isn’t even giving me that! Why isn’t my Focus starting and what’s up with the no clicking?

When a 2012 Ford Focus won’t start and there’s no clicking noise, you could be dealing with:
  • A dead vehicle battery
  • A dead key fob battery
  • A faulty alternator
Swapping out your key fob battery and maybe even your vehicle battery could be easy enough DIY tasks, but if you’d rather leave these tasks to a professional, I suggest bringing your Focus to a certified mechanic for diagnosis.
It shouldn’t take too long for a mechanic to tell you what’s wrong with your vehicle, so while you wait, check out the Jerry app to find the best Ford Focus insurance prices for the coverage you want!
