Why should I get my BMW lowered?

I am a big fan of my BMW. However, my friends all tell me I should get it lowered. They swear it makes a big difference. Why should I get my BMW lowered?

Having your
BMW
 lowered has multiple positive impacts on your car, including improved handling. However, there are also some downsides that you need to be aware of.
To have your BMW lowered, you need to bring down the suspension so your car sits closer to the ground.
Doing this leads to the following positive upgrades to your car and its performance:
  • Better aerodynamics
  • Improved handling
  • Lowered risk of a rollover
However, there are downsides as well, mostly revolving around wear and tear and car comfort. These downsides include:
  • Increased chance of bottoming out
  • Uneven tire wear
  • Harsher ride on rough terrain
