I’m sorry you’re having trouble getting your Nissan Altima to start! There are a few reasons your Nissan Altima isn’t starting. The most common reasons are a dead battery, a malfunctioning alternator, or a faulty engine starter.
Usually, if your

won’t start, part of the car’s electrical system is to blame, like a dead battery or a bad alternator.If you suspect it’s the battery, you can confirm your suspicion by testing its voltage with a multimeter at home. If you get 12 to 13 volts, your car battery is fine and the issue is elsewhere. If the voltage drops below 12, you’ll need to replace the battery.
If your battery is in good shape, here are other common reasons your Nissan Altima isn’t starting:
- Broken alternator
- Battery corrosion
- Dead key fob battery
- Broken starter motor
