Why is my Honda Pilot not starting and not making a clicking sound?

I went to start my car this morning, and absolutely nothing happened when I turned the key. No lights, no sounds, nothing! It’s done something like this in the past, but I heard a clicking noise then that I don’t hear now. Can you tell me why Honda Pilot won’t start and isn’t making a clicking noise?

Oh no! A car that won’t start is a pretty bad way to start your day. The most likely cause of a Honda Pilot not starting and not clicking is a completely dead battery.
If your battery is weak but still has a little charge, that’s generally when you’ll hear that clicking noise. If it’s just radio silence, then it’s likely that the battery is completely depleted. Other possible causes could be a bad ignition switch or faulty starter.
If it is your battery, then a jump start should get you going again. But from the sound of it (or lack thereof, as it were), it seems like it might be time to get your Pilot a new battery!
