odometer isn’t working, it’s possible that the plastic gears that turn the numbers have broken. They wear out over time, and your odometer stops working when they break.You can always try to fix the odometer yourself by taking the instrument gauge out and replacing the gears, but if you don’t feel comfortable messing around with the panel, take your vehicle to a trusted mechanic.
Replacing the gears on your odometer will generally cost around $150-$200 if you take your vehicle to a repair shop, or you can buy replacement odometer gears for around $15 and try the job yourself. It’s all about your comfort level when it comes to working on your own vehicle.
