Why is my BMW shaking?

This is so annoying! My BMW keeps shaking! It’s a pretty violent vibration. Should I be worried? What is causing my car to shake like this?

I’m sorry to hear that your
BMW
 is shaking. Unexplained or unusual shaking in your car is certainly a cause for concern. Most cases of vehicle shaking are due to worn-out or dirty spark plugs–but there are other possibilities.
You’ll want to have a trained mechanic look at your BMW as soon as possible–pretty much anything causing your car to vibrate is a potentially serious problem.
If you have worn-out or dirty spark plugs, they will deliver uneven power. This would certainly result in some shaking. Other possible causes include:
  • Loose or disconnected hoses
  • Loose battery terminal connections
  • Unbalanced wheel
  • Clogged air filters
  • Loose belts
  • Buckled tire
