I got a letter from my insurance agent that my policy was canceled! I’m freaking out a little. Why would State Farm cancel my car insurance?

That’s a letter that no driver wants to receive! There are a few reasons why
State Farm
may have canceled your car insurance:
  • You didn’t pay your insurance premium on time
  • You were dishonest on your insurance application
  • You failed to inform your insurer about all of the people in your household who are of driving age
If you are still not sure why your insurance was canceled, the best course of action is to contact State Farm directly. Try calling your agent or phoning the State Farm number listed on your insurance documents to find out what happened. Make sure you have your policy number and the letter you received to reference during the call.
If you still feel that your policy was canceled unfairly, you can call your state’s insurance department to investigate.
Here’s the customer service number for State Farm listed online: 1 (800) 782-8332.
