Why has Allstate canceled my car insurance?
I came home to a letter from Allstate that my car insurance was canceled! What’s the deal with that? Why would Allstate cancel my auto policy?

Sorry that you had to come home to bad news. Allstate may have canceled your car insurance due to one of the following reasons:
- Late or missed monthly payment
- Losing your license
- Statements on your application found to be untrue
These aren’t the only reasons an insurance provider can cancel your insurance, but they’re the most common. The best course of action is to call your insurance agent or the number on your insurance documents to figure out what your next steps are.
Here’s the customer service number for Allstate that’s listed online: 1-800-ALLSTATE.
If you feel your car insurance has been canceled unfairly, you can call your state’s insurance department to start an investigation.
