Why don't I see my car loan on my credit report?

I got a car loan about a month ago, but I don't see it on my credit report. What gives?

Congratulations on your new car! Odds are that your
car loan
isn’t showing up on your credit report because you simply haven’t given enough time for your lender to report it.
New loans can take up to 60 days to show up on your credit report. Wait for another month to go by and you should see the loan show up.
If nothing happens after 60 days, reach out to your lender. Ask them what their credit reporting policies are and whether your car loan should have been reported by now. Continue to make weekly correspondence with the lender until you see your car loan appear on your credit report.
While you monitor your car loan and credit, make sure you also shop around for car insurance. Experts recommend doing so every six months. Use

to compare dozens of competitive quotes. You might be surprised at how much you can save without sacrificing essential coverage!
