Why did Allstate raise my rate by almost 30%?
I haven't had any accidents or tickets lately. This increased rate makes no sense to me. Can you offer any insights? I live in the Bay Area, CA.

I’m afraid that Allstate is the only one who can tell you why your rate shot up almost 30%. You should contact a representative to get some definitive answers.
Since your record is clean, maybe the higher rate can be attributed to a rise in claims in your location. Perhaps there have been more car thefts or accidents recently.
If you want a cheaper rate, shop around and see if you can get a better price from another company.
